Personal information about travellers can be entered into PNRs through any of the entities around the periphery of this diagram, all of which can interact with travellers and travel arrangers. But all communication between entities that use different CRS’s, or with external databases (such as travel suppliers whose databases aren’t hosted in one of the four main CRS’s, or the CAPPS and ASSR database systems) is through the big four CRS’s and the links to and between them.
